If you are looking for the finest gay clubs and gay bars in Gran Canaria (Maspalomas) then look no further!

We have been to Gran Canaria over 8 times now and for good reason. It is one of the most welcoming and gay approachable destinations we hold ever travelled to and has some incredible gay nightlife.

The majority of the gay bars in Gran Canaria can be found in the Yumbo Centre in Maspalomas. The Yumbo centre is a large multi level outdoor shopping centre by night and home to the biggest same-sex attracted scene in Gran Canaria by night.

On our last check in we counted that there were over 30 gay bars and clubs in the Yumbo Centre alone ranging from drag bars, to casual bars, clubs and cruising bars.

We are always completely spoilt for decision when it comes to choosing a gay bar in Gran Canaria which is why we have put together a shortlist of our personal favorites. [no_toc]

Gran Canaria is one of the gayest places in the world. Part of the Canary Islands archipelago, this teeny unassuming Spanish Island, is located just 93 miles ( km) off the northwestern coast of Africa (between the Moroccan and Western Saharan waters).

It is days of complete fabulousness, with lgbtq+ events taking place throughout the year. There's always something happening in Gran Canaria, which is why we love it!

Gran Canaria has always been a beacon of tolerance, which is why it has mushroomed into the gay haven it is today. During the dark days of the repressive Francoist dictatorship in Spain () when there was extreme hostility towards homosexuality, the Canary Islands were a popular place t

About Gran Canaria, Maspalomas & Playa del Inglés

Gran Canaria is by area the third largest and by population even the second largest of the Canary Islands. It is geographically closer to Africa than to the Spanish mainland. The climate of Gran Canaria is strongly influenced by the trade winds, whereby the north of the island is often cloudy, rainy and much cooler than the south, which is caressed by drain winds from the Sahara and where it therefore only rains on an average of 6 days per year and an ›eternal spring‹ dominates with temperatures of 18 to 27°C.
