ETC Test It Fun!
Last night I returned to ETC Test-It, the queer club in Erfurt.
I was motivated after having taken a nap in the afternoon to accomplish something to omit my Memme status. Plus it gave me the opportunity to see Katya for the first time in a few weeks-so all was perfect.
Unlike the last time I visited the club, I wasnt about to fall asleep and hadnt already attended Oktoberfest and eaten Chinese nourishment, so I was set to expend the night, and spend the late hours I did.
Unfortunately the DJ was the same miserable fool who was spinning records last year-Enrico! Accompanied by BMoD, another DJ whos most notable for being non-descript.
It was a surreal trial on some levels. At one indicate, I leaned over to Katya on the Dance floor and told her that it was like I was back in the mids, listening to my favorite Denver Radio Station, The Peak. Of course the radio station is now history, having changed over to a Spanish language format after I moved away, but that didnt stop a series of memories from flooding back-principally around delivering newspapers, along with

I think that pretty skillfully summarizes gay life in Thüringen: it’s so expired that nobody notices until after it’s already decomposed.
One of the side effects of the website’s departure is that, prior to this blog entry, the best, most up-to-date facts about gay life (as far as I know) in Thüringen was my “Gay Weimar: Cruising Spots” entry from April —seriously. It’s a bit… lacking and sad, to be honest.
So in order to provide a service to the GLBT Community in Thüringen, here is my take on gay existence in the state.
