The only gay sauna
A few blocks away from the museum. If you are foreigner is optimal if you take UBER. Busy days Wednesday, Friday, (naked days) Saturday’s and Sunday’s busy, too. It gets good between 3pm and 8 pm. The music is not very good. There is a bar, beers , strenuous liquor etc. Last moment that I went colones $9 as the colon is plunging. Once you pay the entrance they let you in and they give you a blue cloth and sandals. Ask for a towel instead. It is a huge place with swimming pool, jacuzzi, labyrinth ( small) but basically, that’s where you hook up and at the glory hole section; bring your own lube and condoms. Ticos in that place tend to stick together but foreigners are very well welcome. The customers are from all ages from twinks to 80 years old. Some are very handsome some not so much a lot of paunchy guys. There is a small room diagonal to the lock where you can smoke. There is a lot of bareback and also guys who have just have fun with condoms, more than likely you'll get what you want.
This place is a huge riddle. The weirdest place. Not that it aint super pretty. It is very nice, clean, spacious. Very American indeed. Problem is its not exactly what you would expect of a gay sauna. If you are european, you are going to be surprised with many aspects of this place. To start no alcohol aloud! Meaning you cannot enjoy the beautiful pool while sipping a cocktail. Bummer.
Secondly, there are no booths. There are rooms. All rooms costs money to accommodate. These rooms have clean lenings and all. Its like hotel rooms. But whats the point in renting your own room? The whole thing is being able to walk around and just spontaneously get into one of the rooms with someone you desire
The most shocking thing is sex is not permitted in public spaces And those spaces are not that sexy anyway The relaxation area is designed like a school library. There is even a room with news channels showing all over
In general there is a sense of over security which darkens the atmosphere even more. You are given two sets of keys- one for a locker
